Sermorelin is a research peptide considered to be the shortest functional analog of the endogenous growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). For context, GHRH has a 44 amino acid structure posited to be the main hormone that interacts with the cells responsible for the synthesis of growth hormone (hGH). These cells are called the anterior pituitary cells, and they appear to express the so-called GHRH-receptors.
